The Great Jeremy Farson

Image
Jeremy Farson ladies and gentlemen. I've been working on my final project for my editorial photography class. I chose to shoot 5 to 7 portraits of painters // illustrators, so I obviously had to think of Jeremy.  I got to shoot in his art room and it was one of the best photoshoots i've ever had ! Jeremy is really cool to work with and I had no trouble telling him what to do and all. He grabbed this sculpture of a bunny he made a while back and it really shows how proud he is of it. It was the first thing he grabbed and posed with ! He started painting over his  most recent piece just for the lulz of it. After we finished shooting this set he said: " Hold on lemme finish this. "  And did his shenanigans with it. The he painted over the other one. Reference picture for painting. I asked Jeremy If I could splatter paint on him or something and he agreed and immediately grabbed his red a...

" Strange Days "

Image
500px   ~   Flickr   ~ Tumblr " Strange Days " is based on the actual song from The Doors , my favorite classic rock band. Basically what it says, strange days have been happening lately. I've had a bad knee for a week now and it sucks. I stretched too hard and hurt it and had to walk with a cane like Yoda for two days.  But now that my knee has been slowly getting better, my whole body aches, cracking my back, neck, legs and bones all over is getting tired now. I feel part of my body is dead or something, so while editing some images, flowers came to mind. Flowers to me mean things like life, death, growth, etc. So take the message as you wish, this is all but personal stuff that I wanted to make a photograph of. The Doors make me feel better.

" Demon Days Part II " - Self-Portrait

Image
This is a composite image using pictures used back in January for my original " Demon Days " photo Here < ---- Just though I would choose old images taken and do something creative and new. I rarely do Black & White images, but this looks best like this. Enjoy the wierdness ! This actually reminds me of Hollow Ichigo's mask

" Purified " With Julie Pavlacka

Image
Alright ! This is just my first attempt of making a double-exposure effect !  I know it could be better I know, I know u______u I'm kinda glad I pulled this off because most of the work I've seen uses a white background, so in order to practice the magic, I was looking for images to edit and I remembered I had these cool-looking ones.  Had to watch lots and lots of Photoshop tutorials ! This is my friend Julie, she's great. Her work is great, go check it out riiiight HERE    So Julie and I were playing with external flashes in the studio and had to make a " creative " image~ We tried this and it turned out pretty cool ! So glad we did this.  Here's a picture of me taken by Julie. Julie's image fused with the picture of the Ocean I took reminded me of the song " Purified "  by  Of Mice & Men !

" My Life As A Comic "

Hi, this is me. Yet anothoer self-portrait featuring dat comic lyfe. The simple yet awesome makeup was inspired by the very own Alexys Fleming  . She's a creative make-up artist who does phenomenal work ! I was watching videos on youtube and you know how random channels would pop up on the ad before your video starts ? She popped-up ! And I was just like, " nooooooooooooooooooo, this is so freaking cooooooooool " D: I subscribed immediately  cause I knew I was gonna enjoy watching her videos. More than beauty work, she also does games, cartoons, and movie inspired make-up. She's so talented ! You should check her out, I linked her facebook page somewhere in this paragraph ~ Video right here !  I know there's more videos like this, but I personally liked her version because she kept it simple and cool. After watching it, I was like, yeah, ok cool i'm gonna watch some more~ But then one day I was thinking of new photos to make and I thought of t...

" Weapon of Choice "

Image
This here is a project for school where we had to choose a social issue and take either documentary or commentary styled photographs. My issue was violence in videogames. Most websites talk about the negative side of playing videogames, so I was like NOPE. Of course, I can't change people's minds about their concept of videogames and how they may influence kids, adults, etc. But people should also know that there are limits and most gamers know how to manage their time and not fall into obsession.  So me, as a long-time gamer decided to make this piece, of course, as a personal point of view~ For me, this picture features three people proudly raising their guns up in the air, but there's one person with a game controller, so for me, I see it as in I prefer having people do all sorts of violence and shooting in a videogame instead of letting all that rage out into real life.  In this photo, this game controller is my weapon of choice.
